Minister of Rural Affairs Martin Repinski submitted a letter of resignation to the Prime Minister

Stenbock House, 6 December 2016 – Prime Minister Jüri Ratas accepted a letter of resignation from Minister of Rural Affairs Martin Repinski, which he will submit to the President.

“I recognize Martin Repinski for his decision to resign as the minister for the new Government to be able to focus on its daily tasks of promoting Estonian life,” said Prime Minister Jüri Ratas.

According to Ratas, he has never questioned the professional suitability of Martin Repinski to act as the Minister of Rural Affairs and hopes Repinski will continue to stand for the interests of his field also in Riigikogu.

The Prime Minister will present a new Minister of Rural Affairs candidate at the latest at the start of next week.
