Stenbock House, December 13, 2016 - Prime Minister Jüri Ratas met Patrice Talon, the President of Benin, today to discuss opportunities for cooperation and information exchange on the topics of e-state, as well as the experiences of Estonian companies in a transition period.
Prime Minister Ratas assured that the experts and companies of Estonia are ready to share their knowledge and solutions regarding e-governance and information society with Benin as well as everyone else interested. “I welcome the sincere interest of the President of Benin and the long journey he has taken to Estonia to seek and meet possible partners,” Prime Minister Ratas said.
Prime Minister Ratas and the President of Benin, Talon also discussed the next EU-Africa summit in Côte d’Ivoire that will take place during Estonia’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union next November.
The Prime Minister thanked Benin for their support in the candidacy of Estonia as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2020-2021.
