According to Rasmus Ruuda, director of the Government Communications Office, every contact with a foreign country is checked in advance. "The Government Office is improving its work processes so that similar cases do not happen in the future."
During the call made in September, the situation in Niger and the Sahel region as well as global food security issues were discussed. Security in Europe and Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine were also discussed. The Prime Minister also focused on overturning Russian narratives and explained Estonia’s official and public positions.
