‘The incident that took place in Poland yesterday is extremely serious. We are actively communicating with Poland and other allies to find out the exact circumstances of the incident. Poland is our good ally in NATO and they can be sure that Estonia is committed to the principles of collective defence,’ said the prime minister. ‘My condolences to the relatives of those who were killed.’
‘Ukraine, which has to deal with the brutal missile attacks of Russia on a daily basis, needs support both to restore critical infrastructure and to ensure more effective air defence,’ added Kallas.
In the afternoon, there will be a meeting of the security cabinet where members of the government will be briefed on the situation and the latest developments.
