Stenbock House, 27 October – Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas expressed his condolences on behalf of the Government to the closest relatives of the killed teacher and the whole school.
“The fatal school shooting, which ended a teacher’s life and took place in Viljandi today is a shock to all of us. The thoughts of people all over Estonia are with the people of Viljandi today,” the Prime Minister said.
“We do not yet know the causes of this incident, but violence is never an acceptable solution. Such things should not happen. We all have a duty to notice a person, who is in need of support in struggling with his or her problems. Today’s incident is a painful reminder of that. My deepest condolences to the loved ones of the teacher and the whole school.”
