“We will discuss with other European heads of state and government how to work together to ensure security and stability in Europe. The meeting in Moldova will demonstrate the unity of Europe, strengthen cooperation, and send a clear signal to Russia that Europe supports Moldova,” said Prime Minister Kaja Kallas ahead of the meeting.
The meeting will include discussions on security, energy, and connectivity. Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas will attend a round table on security with the heads of state and government from Iceland, the Netherlands, Kosovo, France, Romania, Finland, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine, as well as the President of the European Council and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
Prime Minister is separately scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sandriu, and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
Taking place for the second time and organised by Moldova, 47 European countries have been invited to the European Political Community meeting: all EU Member States, Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, North Macedonia, Türkiye, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the heads of EU institutions. Belarus and Russia have not been invited to the meeting.
