‘I very much hope that together with all member states we will be able to approve a €50 billion financial assistance package for Ukraine,’ said the prime minister. ‘It is equally important to step up efforts by EU Member States to send weapons and ammunition. A common goal and a guarantee of long-term assistance would trigger a strategic shift towards victory for Ukraine,’ she added.
The prime minister will attend a ceremony in Brussels on Wednesday to commemorate French politician and economist, former President of the European Commission, Jacques Lucien Jean Delors, and will meet Polish Prime Minister Donalt Tusk and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
